Only problem is the fact that particular emotion wears a person's body and mind out faster than any other. To be indulged in and applied sparingly, briefly, and only in dire necessity. Chronic state harmful, acute state sometimes useful.

Well, I'd say envy and fear are worse! But by definition, they're all natural reactions, so not really under our control. In any case, progressives are defined by nothing other than hate.

'Most progressives'? If the most rabid of them are so defined, then you'd be led to predict that on average their mortality rate would be higher, and their average longevity lower, than that of 'non-haters'. There's partial data to support such a prediction inasmuch as the incidence of depression is, for example, much higher in American democrats than it is in American middle-of-the-roaders/conservatives.

All humans hate, to lesser or greater degrees. It's natural. Not something we applaud or like - but it's inevitable. I'd guess those on the left are - on average - less happy and more angst ridden than those not on it.

Don't know if it's natural -- I do know it is debilitating.

Only time I've seen it in animals besides man was when they were demented or otherwise ill.
