Starmer turned up at Southport expecting a good photo op but got the bum's rush and strong words instead - I doubt he has the character or self awareness to understand that he (and people like him) are seen as a major part of why tragedies like this keep happening.

"How many more of our children have to die before you do something about it Mr Starmer ?" asked one local.

"Why can't you just fuck off and leave us to grieve in peace" asked another.

Did he get it, did he see justifiable anger and pain? Not a bit of it.

He saw 'the far right', he saw 'bigots' and 'racists' and he saw the need to punish those who expressed their pain and anger. No empathy for whitey here, no 'taking the knee' in solidarity.

We saw a snivelling little rat, a pompous emperor in his imaginary cloak of virtue. And we saw him in the altogether.

I’ve noticed that about the wazzock- he seems totally and utterly impervious to the “mood on the ground” anywhere he turns up! He’s about as welcome as Harry and his misses turning up to “support “ the people of LA- you home and possessions have just been wiped our- cue -photo op for the ‘worthy’🤢.
