Diversity !##!* Came the news this morning in Australia that a 17 year old girl was abducted by a 15 year old boy as she entered her school. The said school's motto is 'Respect, Excellence and Diversity' (what's that in Latin?). I suspect that it was a brother abducting his sister, preparatory to an honour killing or forced marriage. If it transpires I'm right, I'll email the school with "Never mind dears, respect the diversity....."
Reminds of a case in England. Some Pakistani father beat the hell out his teenage daughter, with an iron bar, outside her school. All witnessed by her classmates about to enter an exam hall.
He was sprared prison, as the judge thought it would 'damage his family life.'
